Back when Pluto was a planet

When Pluto was a planet and bread made you fat, times were a lot simpler. You did a bunch of cardio to burn all the calories you could. Then smash the weekends hard and get right back on the no bread and lots of running train on Monday.

Thankfully times have moved on - poor Pluto, relegated to a dwarf planet! But for the rest of the wellness industry research and common sense seems to be prevailing.

Cardio is great for your overall cardiovascular health, just not the be- all- and- end- all for fat loss. You know what is, weights. Training with progressive overload (building from a bench mark weight each week and adding to it each week) helps to maintain a healthy bodyweight, helps to keep bones strong and gives you the "toned" look many people desire.

Time is often a factor with our community members and rightly so. The gym isn't the priority in most peoples lives, it's often seen as a "should do". We don't discourage this, you should be doing it, but it might as well be as structured, co-ordinated and fun as possible. So find a spot that makes you comfortable, one that doesn't say eating out is cheating or will give you guff for not being able to dedicate every waking moment to "gainz bro". From there, join in - get involved with the community and all- in- all, things become a lot easier - dare we say, enjoyable.

We are a personal training studio in Whitchurch, Hampshire. Our Small Group Personal Training offers a fun, affordable way to get both cardio and weight training into your routine, in a fun and engaging manner.
